Research
Research evidence around psilocybin by Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London has published in the New England Journal of Medicine 2021 that psilocybin has been as effective as anti depressants and greater in results for treating depression with fewer side effects. They suggest to replicate the study on a larger scale in future.

In a 2016 gold standard study, 51 cancer patients with life-threatening diagnoses participated. Results showed that more than 80% of participants had significant reduction in anxiety and depression. The study is found here.

There is further supporting evidence by Yale scientists that psilocybin assists in creating new neural connections in both mice and pig brains. This was the reason suspected for aiding neuro plasticity with long lasting effects on new decision making abilities and positive mood changes - like reduction in anxiety and depression. Links to the studies are found here.

New neural connections are the reason we tend to understand and see old situations from new perspectives induced by the psylocibin.
The study published in the Neuron
Journal showed that there was not only
a significant 10% increase in the
number of neuronal connections
but they were also on average
about 10% larger.
This means that the connections
were stronger due to an increased
number of dendrites - which aid
connections between the neurons.
See the study here with two articles
and their respective studies here.
The article by the American Association
for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is found here.

Between 1 March 2019-27 Sept 2022 the phase 2b clinical trial was conducted at 22 sites in 10 countries across Europe (Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom) and North America (Canada and the United States). 233 participants with treatment-resistant depression were allocated at random to receive one of a single 25 mg, 10 mg or 1 mg dose of psilocybin (the control group). Neither the participants nor the researchers were aware which dose the participant had received (double blind experiment- gold standard).
Published in the most prestigious peer-reviewed journal in the world. Positive results showed in a particularly difficult to treat group of patients (treatment resistant depression), and the highest dose of COMP360 psilocybin had the greatest impact on people’s depression. Published in The New English Journal of Medicine found HERE.

In 2023 a double-blind, randomised clinical trial, 52 participants diagnosed with major depressive disorder were allocated to receive either a single, moderate dose (0.215 mg/kg body weight) of psilocybin or a placebo in conjunction with psychological support. The trial took place between April 11th, 2019 and October 12th, 2021 at the psychiatric university hospital in Zürich, Switzerland. These results suggest that a single, moderate dose of psilocybin significantly reduces depressive symptoms compared to a placebo condition for at least two weeks. HERE

Please note:
If you are on any medication discuss this with the facilitator. If you have schizophrenia or a predisposition (schizophrenia runs in the family), or have had any psychotic episodes then a
journey is not recommended.

One should decide
whether to proceed or not if on blood
pressure medication as a psilocybin journey
might increase blood pressure.

A medical and mental health form will
be filled in beforehand for the
facilitator to check for good fit.
WhY?
I personally have used journeys for the sole purpose of healing, personal development, growth
and working through my "big and small rocks" and increasing conscious awareness.

This is a powerful tool to work through
big, medium or smaller rocks such as:
-
treatment resistant depression, anxiety
-
release and processing of repressed and suppressed past traumas from the body and emotions
-
feelings of “stuckness” and wanting clarity
-
undesirable character and personality traits
-
reflection around decision making
-
taking on a new mindset with other people
-
understanding habits and feelings
-
changes in perspective
-
Self-development for growth, shift, change, healing
-
the exploration of consciousness
-
opening up empowerment of gaining self trust
-
self-empowerment that you are the master of your life and have the answers within not outside of you
-
More peace and calm

This is done by bringing the unconscious to the conscious mind and getting the body and
the mind to sync with our feelings.

We then process, shift and integrate
to fulfil our full potential.

What could be achieved in one day
with psilocybin can sometimes
take years of therapy.

In 2022 Coach Ofri was interviewed by host Thando Thabethe on the 94.7 radio station about mental health with psychedelics.
Where?
For both men and women we use a
agreed upon neutral space
*subject to availability.
For safety reasons, a female facilitator
will hold space in the comfort
of one's own home with
female clients only.
Options are discussed based on
your comfort, needs, preferences and
feelings of safety that assist you to
let go, trust and get the most out
of your experience.

How?
Ask your facilitator any questions to help you decide whether to go ahead.
Once you've decided to go ahead
the facilitator will explain how to
prepare the body -
light alterations in cutting out
certain foods and alcohol
a week before the journey.

When?
We start in the morning around 8am
and finish in the early to late afternoon.

Most often you won't feel like eating
until the experience is completed.

Each facilitator has their own style
and it's best to enquire about it.

We then close off and complete the
experience by sharing some food together.

Ask for a consult to answer your questions, concerns
and to hear more about the self investment
experience.
